Hello All,
This may be the first time I’ve mailed everyone this year. So if that is true, HAPPY NEW YEAR!
The reason I am writing is to let you know about a hike this coming Sunday, the 19th, at 1pm. I know it is very short notice. I hope you won’t seek to impeach me of my secretary duties over this. I will try to do better next time. Below is the complete description of the hike. The weather outlook is good for Sunday, so I hope to see you there.

Jim Rowe will lead a hike in Orwell. We will explore the Murray Hill area in the northeast corner of Orwell to visit two cellar holes that may have been on the route of the road that ran from the Crown Point Road in Sudbury to Fort Ticonderoga. There will be an opportunity for discussion to see how this route connects to the road shown on an early lot map of Sudbury and how it ties in with an existing town road. If time permits, we will offer more hiking towards the Little Lemon Fair River. Meeting location is the Orwell Village Green.
