Hello Friends of the Road,
Happy Memorial Day (observed) to you. The 31st is the official day in case you’re wondering. This coming Friday is JFK’s birthday too. I hope you’ve enjoyed the long weekend and the favorable weather we’ve had. I spent a lot of the days getting dirty. My garden is now ready to do its magical transformation from dirt to a jungle of vegetables. I even spent some of the weekend digging for archeology finds. My calendar reminded me today that I have an exciting historical walk to look forward to. Thanks to Tom Hughes, we have an exciting opportunity to explore the historic area of Crown Point. I think you know the significance of the area. Some road ended (or started) there I’ve been told. And while I have your attention, don’t forget to make the necessary preparations for the bus trip to Canada next month. We’ve already received some payments for seats on the bus. I know this is an event not to miss! Just make sure you have the necessary identifications so the border agents let you back in the country on the return trip. It is rather easy to get OUT of the country, but rather hard getting back IN. So I hope to see you soon at one of these two events. Thanks for your time, and keep history alive!
