Hello Friends of the Road,
Have you ever tried to use your car’s GPS to find the Crown Point Road? We’ll let me save you the effort and tell you that it doesn’t work. That is the reason we need to keep The Road alive. More history is being made every day and that becomes more competition for our attention and time. Our historical records only grows larger, not smaller!
Recently the treasurer and I have been processing a huge amount of memberships we’ve been receiving. We always enjoy getting the notes and kind words. To those that are willing and able to donate more: THANK YOU! Your generosity is not going unnoticed.
Many of you may be already hard at work erasing the winter’s carnage in the yards and gardens. I find it nice to be out even if there is a lot of work to be done. If you’re like me and have been hard at work, it is nearly time to take a break and catch up with old friends. The CPRA calendar is about to offer its first outing for the year. There will be a grand unveiling at one of the area’s most historic sites and we won’t have the summer heat to swelter in. So pack a lunch, and make a day of it. Here is the full write-up for the event:
