Hello Friends of the Road,
Did I take a long nap and miss foliage? Wow, it came fast and is going fast. Amazing colors this year despite the dry conditions. I hope all of you are doing well.
It is now October and our Annual Meeting is coming up! If you are planning on attending, we have some guidelines to abide by. We are requiring reservations, and masks. As part of the reservation, we’ll need you to provide us contact info (ie phone#) in case we have to contact you later on. There is a 60 person limit for attendance, so make your reservation right away. There will be no potluck this year. Instead of the planned location being the basement of the Pittsford Congregational Church, it will now be upstairs in the worship/service area of the church. If you’d like to make a reservation, email the CPRA secretary (me). Here is the full description of the event: It will be held in the worship/service area of the Pittsford Congregational Church. The location is just off Rt. 7 in the center of Pittsford. The address is: 121 Village Green, Pittsford. After the conclusion of a general discussion and business meeting, the guest speaker will be local historian Bill Powers. Bill has done extensive work on many individuals, events and locations in Addison and Rutland Counties, VT. He will speak about several topics pertinent to the Crown Point Road and its environs. For more info, call Jim at (802) 434-7415
Take care, be safe, and keep searching for ancient journals, maps artifacts, and other treasures 🙂
