Hello Friends of the Road,
It is me again. The outings are coming fast and furious now! I realize that May 7 is Green Up Day, and I REALLY want to encourage everyone to help the long lasting tradition of cleaning up our roadways, but perhaps we can do both? I am going to try to. Admittedly, the CPRA outing has some work involved too, but also some historical fun! Below is the official write up and I hope to see you there!
– May: On Saturday the 7th, at 10am, meet at the Park and Ride just west of the Circle K Store and near the intersection of routes 5 & 11, in Springfield. It will be a workday/hike from Route 5 to tunnel/culverts under Interstate 91. We will look at the condition of the culverts and try to clean them out and possibly open them up to allow drainage. A new sign will also be put back up. We will also visit “The Old Crown Point Road Burying Ground”. Bring lunch. For more info, call Becky Tucker at (802) 885-4686
